I have just had my birthday a few days ago. My 29th if you must know. I have to say, it was one of the top birthdays I have ever had! It went something like this...
I woke up to one of my friends texting Happy Birthday to me, then got a phone call from our son who's in college (GO POKES) and then a good morning, happy birthday kiss from my Hubby. I proceeded to wake up our daughter (this process was a long one) and received birthday greetings and love from her as well. This is usually where the festivities end, but wait, there's more!
When I arrived at school I was serenaded by one of my coworkers, Miss Tracy, and very well might I add. She could have a future in the singing telegram business!! I then went to the office and was given the cutest card by my good friend KuKu. Ask me abou tit, I am keeping this one so I will be more than happy to show you! One would think that this was already enough, but wait, there's more.
While on the way to my room, oh ya, as another bonus I was subbing that day too!!!!! Anywho, on the way to my room I was almost tackled by one of our kindergarten kids (who just happens to be the son of my good friend The Kooch) bearing a bag of gifts for me. I also got a hand hug from him, waahoo! Normally this would be a great birthday for me, but wait, there's more!
I was treated to lunch by my Hubby and received a delivery of flowers from him later in the day! Upon receiving them there was a conversation between 2 girls (remember, they are kindergarteners) and it went like this...
Girl 1- Ooooooh, who are those from Mrs. Locker?
Girl 2- Duuuuh, her Daaaad!!
Me- No girls, they are from my Husband. Isn't that sweet?!?!?!
Girl 1- Well why'd you get 'em?
Girl 2- Because they're in loooooove.
At which point I had to turn and snicker. Little innocent kids amuse me!! Just kidding, I am very much in love with my Husband!!!! So you see, this was a day that is one of the best I have had in a while, but wait, there's more!
After school we went to my inlaws and all went out for dinner. I was then given a nice monetary gift (always the right size and my favorite color) and sent directly to our daughters book fair at the 6th grade center. Could this day be any better?
I must say, I may not have everything I want, but I have everything that a girl needs!!! I am very blessed and my cup runneth over!
